Welcome to the Top Shelf Female Atom A Invitational Tournament. This will be a 5 team, Hockey Alberta sanctioned tournament (#HA-17320767). All Hockey Alberta Rules and Regulations apply. Home teams to wear light jerseys and away teams to wear dark jerseys.

Each team is guaranteed 4 games in the round robin portion. After completion of the round robin format, the top two teams will advance to the final playoff game on Sunday March 25th.
RULES
Each game will be 2 hour ice slot and will consist of three 20 minute stop time periods with a flood every second period. Games will start with a 5 min warm up and there will be a 2 min break between periods. Drop clock rules will apply. If required, when there is only 5 min remaining in your permitted ice slot, the clock will be dropped after the first stoppage in play to 2 minutes stop time.
Please make sure your team is ready to play 15 minutes prior to your scheduled game time. Especially important for the final game on Sunday!!

Round robin games that end in a tie will remain a tie. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss. If teams are tied after the round robin, the winner will be decided as follows:

The team with the most wins will rank higher. If still tied, then

Head-to-Head – the team that won in round robin game will win the tie breaker

GOALS FOR divided by TOTAL OF GOALS FOR AND AGAINST, with the team(s) with the highest percentage number being the highest ranked team

Team with least amount of penalty minutes receives the higher rank

If still tied, a Coin toss will determine higher ranking
Playoff final game on Sunday, if tied, will be determined as follows.

5 min stop time sudden victory 4 on 4. If still tied, then;

A 5 player shoot out (all 5 players shoot). If still tied, then;

A sudden victory shoot out, one player at a time. No player will shoot twice in this round until all players on the team have had a chance to shoot. Both teams get a chance to score in each round
Gold and silver medals will be handed out after the final game. There will also be a player of the game and heart and hustle award handed out to each team after every game. Coaches will be responsible for choosing the player of the game from the opposing team. No player shall receive an award twice.
Each team will be required to have at least 1 parent available to help with either the time clock or score keeping for each of your games.
Any player or team official assessed a match or gross misconduct will be suspended for the balance of the tournament. Referees decisions are final.
All Players, team officials and fans are subject to Okotoks Code and Conduct Policy.

OKOTOKS MINOR HOCKEY HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR ANY ABUSE TOWARDS OFFICIALS, COACHES, PLAYERS AND FANS. ANY OFFENSE WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF THE OFFENDER!
